Brookfield Congregational Church proudly announces the inaugural concert of its annual Gary McWithey Concert Series.  On Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00pm, James Grzadzinski, Co-Director of Music/Organist of Brookfield Congregational Church and Rachel Mallette-Grzadzinski, Soprano will present a dynamic, family friendly concert of solo organ and organ/soprano voice duo repertoire.  Repertoire includes selections by Bach, Brahms, Franck, Handel, Dubois, Karg-Elert, Widor, Langlais, and more.  The Grzadzinski's have concertized throughout the Midwest including prominent Cathedrals in Milwaukee, Chicago, Green Bay, Joliet, and Madison (Holy Name Heights).  Grzadzinski has served as the Director of Music and Organist at the Cathedral of Saint Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet and the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in recent years.  The concerts are open to anyone in the community, and are a great way to experience beautiful music, friendship, and fellowship close to home.  Residents of southeastern Wisconsin are invited to participate in this wonderful music series to experience tremendous repertoire in a beautiful venue with a welcoming artistic and support team.  "Music has a power to transform lives and to express emotions that words alone cannot convey," said Grzadzinski, who is also the organizer for this series.  Grzadzinski added that "Music transcends humanity allowing us to experience the Divine, something bigger than ourselves, and to foster peace through thought provoking harmonies as well as powerful texts set by prolific composers past and present."

No ticket purchase is required for these concerts.  A freewill offering will benefit the Gary McWithey Concert Series and its growth.
Please feel free to contact James Grzadzinski via the church at james@brookcc.org or 262-786-4155 for media inquiries as well as for more information about the series.

Join us for our annual meeting at 1:30 followed by

a recital by grammy nominated organist, Dr. Jan Kraybill at 3:00 pm!

I'm pleased to present a solo concert sponsored by the Milwaukee chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Three times delayed by COVID concerns, this event has been a long time in planning! Come with me to explore the works of composers and poets through the ages, and share in song with the pipes and people who surround you. Inspired by the Holy Spirit (ruach, the Hebrew word meaning “air in motion”), we can breathe in new life, can con-spire (“breathe together”), and can create music that transforms ourselves and our world.
